BBSRC 2014 RESPONSIVE MODE ROUND 3.
24th Jul 2015
The BBSRC recently published the results from the final responsive mode round of 2014. The take home message for the Arabidopsis community was that it was a good round for New Investigators but less-so for other researchers in this area.
The entirety of plant science grants were awarded through Committee B. Twenty-two of the twenty-six grants awarded by this committee included plant science. There were nine grants that include some sort of Arabidopsis research (including both A.thaliana and A.arenosa) and six of these were awarded to New Investigators (NI). This included the top ranked award to Piers Hemsley from the University of Dundee whilst two of these Arabidopsis NI awards were successful uplifted past the funding cut-off.
Congratulations to all the successful grant holders, we will have more detail on these grants in an upcoming issue of GARNish.
The associated table shows the successful awards of Committee B from BBSRC 2014 round 3.
Blue: Grants that feature Arabidopsis
Light Green: Non-Plant awards
Orange: New Investigator Awards
Yellow: IPA awards (which includes 10% industrial contribution)
Dark Green: LINK awards (which includes 50% industrial contribution)
