Geraint join the GARNet team as full time National Coordinator in May 2015. Previously we was a lecturer of Genetics and Plant Science at the University of Liverpool where we led a small research group investigating the role of nuclear transport in Arabidopsis development.
Geraint undertook his PhD in the lab of Malcolm Bennett at the University of Nottingham research the auxin tranpprt protein AUX1. Subsequently he undertook post-doctoral research at Indiana University in the labs of Mark Estelle and Scott Michaels. Therefore he has been involved in the Arabidpsis research community for his entire career and is looking forward to the fresh challenge that the GARNet post will bring as he serves as an advocate for Arabidopsis research in the UK and around the world.
